Mulloway are one of the hardest fish to catch.

I went to Werribee river pier to try to catch this fish.
When I wasn't looking, a Mulloway took the yellow tail bait on my stronger rod. When I turned around, my rod had been pulled into the estuary. Luckily I had brought two rods, so I started fishing with my lighter rod.
I switched to using lures to catch the Mulloway.
Bream were biting my lure but they wouldn't hook up. I tried two different lures - one hard plastic and one metal lure.
I went home empty handed - the Mulloway were just too hard to catch here, but I had a nice time and will be back. 👦🎣
