visitation

Thought you'd like to see this pic of Mum and me and Hum, our visitor. I gather that in Arab society, you're obliged to offer hospitality for three days... well, Hum's been here for nearly two weeks now and seems to have settled in rather than be showing any signs of moving on. Dad says she's a Keeper, Mother Sleeper, but he's just getting confused with one of the albums Auntie Elizabeth gave him for his birthday. On the plus side, however, I have managed to expel him from our bed and erected a fence to rival the Israeli one to make sure he doesn't try sneaking back in during the night.

3yo weigh-in

"16 kilos of prime Mozzie beef"

cunning plans

Just received this from Julia...

"Dear Finn, thanks for dobbing in a new arrival and providing such detailed information about her whereabouts and those un-Austrayl-yan working families who have assisted her. Unfortunately, the Malaysia off-shore processing policy was intended to deal with asylum seekers, rather than people born in Austrayl-ya, although as you point out, the country probably would be a better place if we could export a few true-blue Aussies. Keep up the vigilence, Yours JG"

Time for Plan B, I guess...

Hum

Got home from Nonna's to find a Goldilocks situation: who's been sitting, eating, sleeping in my spaces? Mum and Dad call her Francesca, but as I mentioned in my blog a few months ago, her real name is Hum. I like her - she gave me a pressie, although I have yet to establish how she bought it as apparently she can't walk or drive and has no money.
Anyhoos, I'm posting a few questions which I feel she needs to answer (Dad says she'll respond to them in her own blog in due course, although where he'll find time to type up her musings as well as mine goodness only knows, even if he has finally finished his thesis and has nothing better to do with his time).
1) Why did Hum do a poo in her nappy if she only drinks milk?
2) Why doesn't she like sleeping in her basinette (the irony of this question is breathtaking, given how little time Finn spent in his cot - Ed.)
3) Why does she cry so much?
4) Why does she get to stay up later partying with Mum and Dad?
5) Just, why?

sleep-overs

Somit's up - two sleep-overs as Nonna's in a row... hmm, suspicious
