A trap full of fish

On Sunday, I went to Altona pier. I had prepared a fish trap with prawns and a slice of squid in it.

I was going to lower it under the pier, where I could see mussels and some cold water coral. I dropped the trap down and watched it sink.

After 1 hour, I came back to check the trap. I started to pull in the trap and in it were 15 small fish.

One of these fish is a gobie because it was breathing air; some were sculpin because of the small spines on their fins. Many of the others, I don't know their names. After taking pictures, I released them all back under the pier.

I also found a soldier crab on the beach.
